Michihili es un tipo de repollo chino conocido por sus hojas tiernas, su sabor dulce y su versatilidad en la cocina:
El michihili tiene una cabeza cilíndrica con hojas estrechas y densas que son de color verde claro en el interior y de un verde más oscuro en el exterior. Las cabezas pueden crecer hasta 17 pulgadas de alto y pesar hasta 5 libras.
El michihili tiene un sabor más fuerte que otras coles y un gusto ligeramente picante.
El michihili se puede comer crudo en ensaladas o coleslaw, al vapor, salteado, estofado o en escabeche. También es un ingrediente común en el kimchi.
El michihili crece mejor en climas cálidos y se puede plantar a pleno sol o con sombra parcial. Se debe plantar a principios de la primavera, pero se espigará si hace demasiado calor. El michihili necesita tierra húmeda y al menos 6 horas de sol al día.
