Descripción
Celosia 'Captain Series' (Celosia argentea var. cristata), bred by Evanthia, is a premier professional cut flower series celebrated for its dense, rounded ball-shaped crested flower heads, rich color saturation, and exceptional crop uniformity. Growing on sturdy, upright single stems reaching 30 to 40 inches in height, it produces compact, globe-like brain-crested heads in brilliant shades including Red, Yellow, Orange, and Pink. Engineered specifically for high-density commercial production in greenhouses, high tunnels, and field plots, the Captain series features excellent stem strength, high resistance to lodging, and long post-harvest vase life. Its tightly clustered, spherical comb structures bring bold vertical structure, vibrant saturated color, and unique architectural texture to fresh floral arrangements and dried bouquets.
