Good to know

Towering 6-foot floral spires add dramatic visual height and structure to naturalized garden beds
Extremely low-maintenance and heat/drought-tolerant, thriving in nutrient-poor soils where other plants struggle
Long history of traditional herbal use (leaves and flowers for herbal teas) and highly attractive to wild bees

Tiny seeds require surface sowing (do not bury) and light exposure to sprout successfully
Self-seeds readily if flower heads are left to dry on the plant; deadhead after blooming if spread needs to be contained
