El tomatillo, también conocido como tomate mexicano, es una planta de la familia de las solanáceas que produce frutos pequeños, esféricos y de color verde o verde violáceo que llevan el mismo nombre. Los tomatillos son originarios de México y se cultivaban en la época precolombina.

This is my first year growing tomatillos. I purchased Toma Verde seeds this Spring and they had an excellent germination rate. The plants are now large, sprawling, absolutely covered in flowers, and look like they will be very productive. They seem to set fruit quickly and easily. I am looking forward to harvest time and will use these tomatillos for salsa, grilled vegetable dishes, etc.
