Description
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is a legendary heirloom legume widely revered as the "King of Forages" and a essential cover crop for natural soil improvement. Featuring upright, leafy stems with dense clusters of violet-purple blooms, its deep taproots penetrate deep into subsoils, breaking up compaction while fixing atmospheric Nitrogen. Highly valued for sprouting and microgreens, young alfalfa sprouts deliver a crisp, mild, nutty flavor packed with essential vitamins and minerals, while mature plants provide premium organic green manure.
