Producing a central 5- to 6-inch head of deep blue-green, tightly packed buds, it continues to yield heavily long after the main head is harvested by producing a non-stop abundance of tender side shoots. Renowned for its rich, sweet flavor and high nutritional value, it is an indispensable garden staple for fresh steaming, roasting, stir-fries, and home freezing.
