    Description

Broccoli 'Romanesco' (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis), also known as Romanesco Cauliflower or Roman Cauliflower, is a striking 16th-century Italian open-pollinated heirloom celebrated for its geometric beauty, crisp texture, and nutty flavor. Growing into a sturdy, upright plant 24 to 36 inches tall, it produces breathtaking, lime-green heads composed of naturally occurring logarithmic fractal spirals. Sharper and firmer than standard broccoli, Romanesco carries a sweet, mild, earthy taste with zero bitter undertones. Excellent raw for vegetable platters, dipped in vinaigrettes, roasted whole, steamed, or tossed into pasta dishes, it stands as a centerpiece crop in edible landscapes and gourmet gardens.
