    Description

Danvers Carrot (Daucus carota subsp. sativus), originally developed in Danvers, Massachusetts in the late 1800s, is a celebrated heirloom root vegetable famous for its deep orange color, sweet flavor, and remarkable adaptability. Producing thick, broad-shouldered roots that taper to a refined point, it was specifically selected to thrive in heavy, clay, or shallow soils where longer varieties struggle. Exceptionally high in beta-carotene with a crisp, fine-grained texture, it is a top choice for fresh eating, juicing, canning, roasting, and winter storage.
