    Description

Cress 'Upland' (Barbarea verna), often called Land Cress or Creasy Greens, is a historic open-pollinated heirloom native to Southern Europe. Prized as an easy-to-grow perennial or biennial alternative to true watercress, it produces compact rosettes of dark green, deeply lobed leaves reaching 6 to 8 inches in height. The foliage delivers a sharp, tangy, peppery bite rich in vitamins A and C. Extremely cold-hardy, Upland Cress thrives in standard garden soil without requiring running water or saturated beds, making it an exceptional year-round green for fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, and autumn-to-winter harvests.
