Description
Lamb’s-Ear (Stachys byzantina) is a widely cherished perennial famous for its thick, velvety silver-gray leaves that feel as soft as a lamb's ear. Highly resilient and drought-tolerant, it forms a dense, weed-suppressing groundcover that adds incredible tactile texture and cool color contrast to sunny garden borders. In summer, upright woolly spikes bearing delicate pinkish-purple flowers rise above the foliage, making it a garden classic for both rockeries and pathways.
