Description
Okra Long Pod Green (Abelmoschus esculentus) is a timeless heirloom variety celebrated for its high productivity, tender texture, and long, dark green pods. Producing slender, deeply ribbed pods that stay tender at longer lengths than typical okras, it offers a rich, classic flavor. Growing on sturdy, upright plants adorned with beautiful cream-colored, hibiscus-like blossoms, this heat-loving crop delivers a steady harvest throughout the warm summer months. It is an essential staple for frying, grilling, roasting, or thickening traditional gumbos, soups, and stews.
