Beans never sprouted

Beans are dormant I have tried pre-sprouting them and putting them in pots with grow lights and it has been 2 weeks and nothing has happened. Very disappointed in them.

Hi Kapra. We always sow the beans directly outside in warm soil, because they don't do well with transplanting. If soil temperature is under 70-90°F (21-32°C), they will not germinate. Sow seeds 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep, and space them 4 to 8 inches (10-20 cm) apart in rows that are 24 to 36 inches (61-91 cm) apart. Ensure the soil is well-drained and fertile, with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5. Keep the soil evenly moist to promote germination.
