Cabbage, Red Acre

Red Acre cabbage is a variety of cabbage that produces compact, reddish-purple heads that are great for storage and can be eaten raw or cooked: 
Red Acre cabbage heads are typically 6–7 inches in diameter and weigh 2–4 pounds. They are round and solid, and maintain their shape throughout the growing season. 
Red Acre cabbage is an heirloom variety that grows best in cooler weather and areas with minimal weeds. It can be planted in early spring for a late spring/early summer harvest, or in late summer/early fall for a fall harvest. Red Acre cabbage is moderately frost tolerant, but will bolt in warmer temperatures.
