Endive

Endive is an organically grown, deliciously flavoured and tender, broad leaved variety. This variety has delicious, broad, dark green, tender leaves with a delicious flavour and a well filled heart. This old, much used variety grows slowly and has a good resistance against cold and wet weather. It doesn't bold easily.

This delicious, healthy and tender vegetable is very versatile and easy to grow. Use endive in salads, stir-fries, casseroles, stews and mashed potato stews. The slightly bitter flavour of endive combines very well with cheese, bacon, potatoes, lettuce, fish, meat and sweet vegetables like carrots, tomatoes and bell peppers. Hardy annual.
