Les choux de Bruxelles de Long Island sont une variété populaire et ancestrale de choux de Bruxelles, connue pour ses rendements élevés et ses choux savoureux :
Cette variété semi-naine est compacte et produit 75 à 100 pousses vert foncé de 1 à 2 pouces de diamètre. Les pousses sont sucrées et peuvent être cueillies sur une longue période de récolte de novembre à janvier.
Semez les graines à l'intérieur 4 à 5 semaines avant le dernier gel, puis transplantez-les à l'extérieur une fois le risque de gel passé. Plantez-les à une profondeur de 1,2 cm et éclaircissez-les une fois que les plantes atteignent une hauteur de 15 cm.
